Who we are
Elekwa Ledger is provided by Elekwa (Pvt) Ltd, a company in Sri Lanka. In these terms, "we" means Elekwa (Pvt) Ltd and "you" means the business that uses Elekwa Ledger and the people it invites.
What the service does
Elekwa Ledger helps a business keep its jobs, payments and expenses, see who still owes money, and keep matching Google Sheets. It can also answer questions about your numbers if you switch on AI help.
Your data is yours
You own your data. Everything you enter belongs to your business. To run the service we store it securely on our servers, and if you connect Google we keep a copy in your own Google Drive: your Google Sheets, plus a backup every day. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. You can download everything at any time. If you stop using the service, your Google Sheets and backups stay in your Drive, and we delete our copy on request.
Accounts and roles
Each business has an owner, and the owner can invite admins, staff and viewers. The owner and admins manage the business. Staff add and change records. Viewers can only look. The owner decides who is invited and what each person can do, and is responsible for what the business's people do in the app. Please sign in only with your own Google account and do not share it.
Acceptable use
Use Elekwa Ledger only for lawful business record keeping. Do not try to get into another business's records, break or overload the service, or put in information you have no right to use.
Trial and licence
A new business starts with a free trial. After that, a paid licence is needed to keep adding and changing records. When a licence ends you can still see everything and download your data. Prices are agreed with you separately.
Payment and renewal
A licence is paid for a set period. The price and how to pay are shown on your licence page or agreed with you in writing. Please pay before the period ends to carry on without a break.
If a licence is not renewed, the business becomes read-only. You can still see your records and download them. Nothing is deleted because a payment is late. When you pay, the business can add and change records again.
Who may use it
Elekwa Ledger is for businesses and their staff. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.
When we may suspend an account
We may pause or stop a business that misuses the service or puts others at risk. We will tell you why and give you a way to download your records.
Availability and updates
We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available. We sometimes need to update or fix it. We will try to do planned updates at quiet times and to tell you first when it matters. Things outside our control, such as hosting, the internet or Google, can also stop it for a while.
No guarantee of results
Forecasts, summaries and AI answers are estimates to help you decide. They can be wrong. Please check important figures before you act on them.
Limit of our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss. Our total responsibility to you for all claims is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.
Law
These terms follow the laws of Sri Lanka. The courts of Colombo decide any dispute about them.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms or the Privacy Policy, the version number changes and everyone is asked to read and agree again before they carry on.
